Engagement Photos at Bass Hall in Fort Worth, TX – Jasmine and Nkem
For those of you who don’t know; I studied music at the University of North Texas, where I acquired my Bachelor’s of Music in Performance as a classical musician. After my time at UNT, I spent many evenings at Bass Hall, listening and studying symphonies to hone my craft. Even after I transitioned fully into photography, I would still visit Bass Hall and their performances. Never in my life would I have dreamed to be able to explore the space, unencumbered.
“Music is the breath of the unseen, photography the light of the paused moment — together, they compose silence into symphony, and turn stillness into memory.”
Well, recently, this dream became a reality. I was approached by Jasmine and Nkem’s planner, Melissa, asking if I was available. I have never said “YES!” to a text so fast in my life.

I think if you’re looking for classy, elegant, and unique engagement photos, then you really can’t go wrong with Bass Hall. It offers a wide variety of photo options: natural light interiors, beautiful balcony exteriors on the Angel Balcony (a MUST!), and cinematic interiors with both close and wide shots. Plus, what’s more dramatic than getting photos on a stage?
Now, I would recommend getting a photographer that knows the space. I was fortunate enough to have spent many afternoons at Bass Hall before this engagement session, and even then we used the entirety of the two hour time block allotted to us by the Bass Hall staff. Even still, it was a fun-filled two hours. 🙂

Final Thoughts
I cannot say enough good things about Fort Worth’s Bass Hall. Obviously, as a concert hall it’s perfect. On the photo side, I would say the same. This hall has over 25+ years of history and talent, while also providing a timeless look to any photos taken inside of it. If you and your fiancé are looking for somewhere to take your engagement photos, or even have your wedding (like Jasmine and Nkem!), then please put this venue at the top of your list. Even I’m jealous I’m not getting married there!
Big thanks to Melissa at D&D Event Co. for reaching out about this session, to the couple Jasmine and Nkem for their incredible energy they brought to this shoot, and to Remelee and the Bass Hall staff for showing us around. Enjoy the album!
